Tertiary Packaging

Tertiary packaging, also known as transport packaging by the final consumer, protects a series of sales unit of a product, during transit. Outer packaging can include pallets, slip sheets, stretch wrap, label, layer pad and strapping used for goods distribution. Many companies that ship goods use tertiary packaging within the distribution process. Shipping and storage environments can present harsh conditions, so tertiary packaging is crucial to make sure products make it to their final destination without a scratch.
